About The Position

Liberty Hardware is hiring a full-time Material Handler for its Selection operation. The role involves selecting and handling products and cartons, supporting warehouse workflows, maintaining safe and orderly work areas, and contributing to continuous improvement. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The starting rate is $16.50 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential, for a total of $17.50 per hour.

The position requires frequent walking, bending, standing, reaching, and handling materials. Employees frequently lift, carry, stack, or move materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally climb up to two flights of stairs. Equipment used may include a wrapping machine, powered industrial equipment, and an RF scanner. Liberty Hardware is an equal opportunity employer and an E-Verify employer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Frequently lift, carry, stack, and/or move materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Pick products from assigned locations based on information provided in the WMS or pick ticket.
• Attach labels appropriately to cartons.
• Place conveyable cartons on the conveyor belt.
• Pull non-conveyable cartons offline using the pick ticket.
• Stack cartons on the appropriate pallet and place the pallet for the next wave.
• Clean pick module and work areas daily, keeping picking locations neat, orderly, and safe.
• Unload cartons from containers using a powered conveyor and stack them on the appropriate pallet.
• Demonstrate safe working practices in all facets of work.
• May train new or less experienced staff members.
• Participate in continuous improvement events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction.
• Perform other duties needed to help drive the company's vision, fulfill its mission, and abide by its values.
