About The Position

The Material Handler moves supplies throughout the plant. This role is responsible for utilizing powered industrial trucks to move raw materials to production lines, organizing the work area, and staging finished product. The Material Handler also tracks and sorts inventory, loads trailers for outbound shipment, and ensures accuracy of materials entering and exiting the production facility. Additional duties include completing required paperwork, relieving in production as assigned and trained, and performing all work with a safety-first mentality and utilizing IPS lean manufacturing skills. Related tasks may be requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience, including previous powered industrial truck experience required.
• Licensed for Powered Industrial Truck usage under IPG protocols.
• Must have the ability to meet objectives with minimum supervision.
• Must have basic computer skills, math skills, and English written communication skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Ability to consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing powered industrial trucks, moves raw materials to the production lines, organizes assigned work area, and stages finished product as per instructions from supervisor.
