About The Position

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Our scope spans Engineering, prototype builds, through full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision. The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse and production support areas. This position supports receiving material storage, order picking, kitting, staging, production replenishment, and finished material movement while maintaining accurate inventory and organized warehouse locations. The Material Handler works closely with Warehouse, Production, Receiving, Inventory Control, and other departments to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse, inventory, or ERP systems.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to count and verify quantities accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One to two years of previous warehouse, manufacturing, material handling, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Experience using barcode scanners or handheld inventory devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, unloads, locates, moves, stores, stages, and transfers raw materials, components, and finished goods accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Opens containers, counts or weighs materials as required, and verifies part numbers, quantities, units of measure, labels, and storage locations.
  • Picks, stages, and delivers materials according to pick tickets, work orders, BOMs, and warehouse material requests.
  • Supports production by assisting with the movement or lifting of materials when required. Replenishing work areas, staging kits, delivering required materials, and returning unused material to designated warehouse locations.
  • Accurately records material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and other inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Identifies and reports damaged materials, shortages, quantity discrepancies, labeling issues, and incorrect material locations.
  • Supports receiving, putaway, kitting, cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory discrepancy resolution.
  • Maintains proper material identification, labeling, stacking, storage, and organization throughout the warehouse.
  • Safely operates forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, hand trucks, and other authorized material-handling equipment.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and safe warehouse, staging, storage, and work areas.
  • Follows inventory-control procedures, quality requirements, company policies, and all applicable safety practices.
  • Communicates material shortages or other issues that could affect production schedules and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Performs other warehouse and material-handling duties as required.
  • Moving material only to approved locations.
  • Completing required inventory transactions at the time material is moved.
  • Verifying quantities before material is issued or transferred.
  • Reporting unidentified or incorrectly located material.
  • Avoiding unrecorded movement of inventory between warehouse or production locations.
  • Supporting inventory counts and discrepancy investigations when requested.
