What You'll Get To Do We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at Coral in Tuscaloosa, AL! This role involves handling aluminum extrusions, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are safely stored and transported. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Shift: Monday - Friday, fluctuating between a 5am-1pm shift and a 6am-2pm shift Position Summary The Production Associate is responsible for handling, inspecting, packaging, and processing powder-coated metal extrusions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to production schedules, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to production demands.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in reading a tape measure.
  • Experience using hand tools, including drills and sanders.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Close visual acuity required for inspection and quality control tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Trained and authorized to operate a scissor lift.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and sort metal extrusions by profile and design specifications.
  • Lift, move, stack, and package metal extrusions up to 24 feet in length for shipment.
  • Read and process work orders according to production schedules and due dates.
  • Clean powder-coated extrusions using compressed air equipment.
  • Inspect products for quality, defects, and surface imperfections.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Operate a scissor lift, if trained and authorized.
