About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring raw material is available for production, assisting in changeovers, and maintaining material handling equipment. The Material Handler will also be responsible for transporting materials, cleaning equipment, performing color checks, and maintaining documentation. A safe, clean, and organized work environment is essential. This position requires proficiency in English, basic computer skills, and a valid TM assigned forklift license. Previous experience as a Back Up Material Handler for at least 3 months is required.

Requirements

Must be able to read and speak English proficiently.
General knowledge in injection molding.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer experience.
Valid TM assigned forklift license required.
Must have been in a Back Up Material Handler position for a minimum of 3 months.

Responsibilities

Ensures that raw material needed for production is ready and available at all times.
Assists in the change over process.
Responsible for unloading, cleaning, and reloading of material hoppers.
Responsible for transporting material to and from production area and warehouse.
Ensure that grinders, color feeders, and other related equipment is cleaned.
Maintain appropriate documentation relating to material system.
Perform daily color checks and document in color LDR book.
Clean and maintain loader system vacuum pumps, filters and mixer rooms.
Document PM’s to equipment in Maximo.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Responsible for identifying and weighing raw materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Maintain 100% class room training as required.
