About The Position

The Material Handler performs warehouse and yard functions to support customer orders and branch operations. Responsibilities include pulling, preparing, and packaging orders; loading outbound trucks; receiving and unloading inbound product; and keeping products clean, organized, and safely stored. The role uses a forklift when needed and requires working indoors or outdoors depending on business needs, including in all weather conditions. The Material Handler also completes work orders accurately and promptly, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and works with the team to support branch success and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or yard position.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to read and write and perform essential math functions.

Responsibilities

• Work inside the warehouse and outside in the yard depending on business needs.
• Load trucks for outgoing shipments.
• Unload inbound product.
• Pull, prepare, and package orders for shipment.
• Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Rotate product and safely move product using a forklift when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work with the team to support branch success and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs or assigned.
