About The Position
Avery Dennison is looking for a Material Handler to serve as the "circulatory system" of our facility. In this role, you will be the primary engine moving raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure our production lines never skip a beat. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency with computer applications (Oracle preferred) and a strong mechanical aptitude for operating equipment like forklifts.
- Proven ability to pivot between receiving and shipping as production priorities shift.
- A "Team Before Self" attitude with a commitment to reliable attendance and helping coworkers meet site goals.
- Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests, to support our customers.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trailers (trucks/tankers), verifying all materials against shipping documents for 100% accuracy.
- Use our Inventory Management System to document material movement, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Transfer racks, pallets, and supplies to manufacturing areas to meet high-volume production targets.
- Lead recycling efforts and support 5S housekeeping to maintain a safe, high-performing workspace.
