Material Handler- Days
About The Position
As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the production process by handling plastic resins, colorants, and all materials used in the manufacturing of finished goods. This role involves monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels of raw materials and resin to ensure continuous production, as well as replenishing items needed by operators. You will also be responsible for removing finished product from production areas, packaging it as required, and performing daily housekeeping. Additionally, you may aid relief operators during breaks or step in as an operator if necessary, and perform other diversified tasks as assigned by supervision or management.
Requirements
- Must be able to calculate figures accurately.
- Must pass forklift written and driving test.
- No more than 4 points to qualify.
- No second write-up in any area.
Nice To Haves
- Previous related work experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, and hopper loaders is preferred.
- Knowledge of plastic resins, colorants materials, corrugated cartons, and all parts used in manufacturing finished goods is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor an adequate inventory of raw materials and resin to run product.
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of all materials in well-organized, designated storage areas.
- Replenish items and materials needed by operators.
- Remove finished product from production areas and package as required.
- Aid Relief Operators by covering during breaks and/or work as an operator if necessary.
- Perform daily housekeeping.
- Perform other diversified tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.
