About The Position

BlueLinx is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at its Denver distribution center. The role supports the distribution of building and industrial products by safely handling materials, preparing shipping paperwork, and maintaining equipment and work areas. The position pays $23.70–$24.70 per hour, subject to local minimum wage requirements and factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location. The schedule is Monday through Friday. Requirements

One year of recent forklift or warehouse experience.
Ability to safely and proficiently use a forklift to transport products and load or unload trucks.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to work independently at times under pressure.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle other physical tasks.
Ability to read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety materials, and similar documents.
Safe work record and stable work history.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift in compliance with training and safety guidelines.
Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
Store and retrieve material, including piece-pick and bulk materials.
Prepare paperwork required for product distribution and shipping.
Inspect and perform daily maintenance on equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the work and assigned areas.
Assist with periodic inventory counts as requested.
