Material Handler Day Shift
About The Position
Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting. This is a full-time, permanent position with a wage of $23.00 per hour, working Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, located in Mississauga, ON. The role involves performing duties within performance measurement guidelines, accurately picking, packing, auditing, staging products, and loading/unloading trucks. It also includes managing day-to-day warehouse paperwork and providing technical/maintenance support for the automated packing system. Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check.
Requirements
- 1 year of warehouse experience required
- H.S. diploma/GED preferred
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work using health and safety methods
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
- Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.

- basic level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, if applicable to site.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
- Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
