About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives! This role involves working in a warehouse performing functions such as receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments. You will load and unload products to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas, read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed, and convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas. You will also sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Additionally, you will operate gas or electric powered forklift trucks to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc. This may include loading/unloading trucks and using a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or political asylee or refugee.
  • Must provide one of the following forms of identification as part of the application: (1) Passport, (2) Birth Certificate, (3) Certificate of Naturalization (USCIS Form N-550 or N-570), or (4) Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.

  • Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
  • May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
