About The Position

We are looking for a talented Material Handler to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN. Job Summary: Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Ensure Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe work environment. Report Incidents: Promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will contribute to a proactive safety culture. Compliance: Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that all safety and environmental guidelines are met. Use PPE: Consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment will protect you and your colleagues from potential hazards. Promote Team Safety: By looking out for one another and promoting interdependence, you’ll foster a supportive and safe workplace. Environmental Awareness: Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will support sustainability efforts. Quality Control: Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures will help maintain high product standards and reduce costs. Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in training and development, and engaging in ways to improve quality, safety, and processes will drive overall team and organizational success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Knowledge and Experience of Fork Truck Driving on a sit-down unit.
  • Inventory experience as you will be pulling product and part numbers from different areas of the plant.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Safety Minded
