Receives, maintains, sorts, inspects, stores and distributes a wide variety of materials to multiple departments, suppliers, vendors and customers in a timely and accurate fashion. This role is responsible for a clean and safe work area, reading and interpreting stage plans, picklists, SOPs, and WIs. The Material Handler will accurately record information on travelers, operate bar coding and computerized equipment, and utilize RF devices to pick, de-box, label, and transfer materials. They will also conduct quality inspections, perform receiving duties, participate in cycle counts and audits, and perform data entry using the SAP system. Additional duties include cleaning, processing returns, QA transfers, scrapping material, and mixing polymers. The role emphasizes accurate data entry for work order closeouts, visual inspection of product, and ensuring accurate label accountability. Safety is paramount, requiring a clean and safe work environment, proper operation of material handling equipment, certification on power equipment, and knowledge of safe lifting techniques. The Material Handler must manage for compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements and build quality into all aspects of their work.
