About The Position

The Royal Group (TRG) is hiring a Material Handler at its Halls facility in Halls, Tennessee. The role operates an industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to move materials throughout the plant. It requires safe and accurate material handling, teamwork, basic computer skills, and maintaining inventory records and production information. The Material Handler supports production by locating and delivering stock, moving finished goods to storage, and following the daily production schedule.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate a forklift and obtain the required certification.
Basic computer skills, including entering information, navigating computer screens, and maintaining accurate records.
Ability to read, understand, and follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documenting inventory.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and maintaining an organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Obtain and maintain the required forklift operator certification or license.
Operate and care for the forklift safely and demonstrate proper equipment operation.
Complete and document forklift inspection forms before each shift and when operating a different forklift; submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
Locate required stock before production runs begin.
Deliver the appropriate stock to the correct machines safely and on time.
Remove finished goods from machines and transport them to designated storage areas.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in designated storage areas.
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate inventory and stock-location records using required paperwork and computer systems.
Use computer systems to enter, retrieve, and update inventory, production, and material movement information.
Operate machinery at available capacity and speed while maintaining safe practices.
Follow the daily production schedule and recommend workflow improvements to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
Assist other forklift operators and provide backup support to the Shipping Lead Person.
Complete reports on production data, machine operational status, safety data, and quality data accurately and on time.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety requirements and housekeeping standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
