About The Position

This is an urgent need for a Material Handler with forklift experience at a medical device company in El Paso, TX. The role is a 12-month contract position on W2, requiring US Citizens or GC Holders. The pay range is $16-20/hr. The position involves handling moderately complex assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practices is necessary. The role requires judgment in the location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of material movement, and release of materials. The ability to work independently and in a team setting is essential. Responsibilities include preparing goods for shipment, maintaining accurate logs, understanding receiving and/or distribution functions, conducting cycle counts, and comparing physical inventory with records.

Requirements

Must have forklift exp.
Sit down and stand-up Forklift experience required
High school diploma / GED required

Nice To Haves

Operator license preferred
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills preferred.
Ability to safely operate all required preferred
Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations.

Responsibilities

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Uses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials.
Ability to work independently as required.
May prepare goods for final shipment (domestic and international).
Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer).
Is knowledgeable of receiving and/or distribution function.
May be responsible for conducting cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories.
Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.
Make effective decisions relative to position requirements.
Compare physical inventory with inventory records to ensure the numbers match.
