About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for safely transporting materials between locations on a timely basis to assure a continued flow of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods. Support to production is the primary objective. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is based out of our Anoka Location.

High School Diploma or GED is required

Forklift experience
Material handling experience

Responsibilities

Transport completed products, work-in-process, raw material and scrap between operations and also to and from warehouses on a timely basis.
Informs supervisor when materials are unavailable or won't be available immediately.
Serves as a go-between with supervisor and co-workers.
Keeps forklift properly maintained and battery charged.
Observes all applicable safety and housekeeping rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to supervisor.
Demonstrates respect for Federal property and facilities including, forklifts, raw materials, WIP, racking, etc.
Maintains general housekeeping by sweeping non-production areas and using mechanical sweeper and mechanical scrubber.
Performs related duties as assigned.
