POSITION SUMMARY: Load material into railcars or trucks in a safe and efficient manner; and perform all other assigned tasks not specifically indicated.

Requirements

  • Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this position.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers.
  • Must be capable of working shift work, seven days a week.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of truck and rail traffic.
  • Must have a working telephone number and be receptive to call-outs.
  • Must be able to operate track-mobile, various front end loaders and other equipment necessary to perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to open truck and railcar lids.
  • Must be able to work outside in severe weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability.

Responsibilities

  • Report any potential operational or safety problems to supervision.
  • Perform all work assigned in a neat and orderly manner, strictly adhering to Company and governmental and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure proper material and weight is loaded for each shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records for each load of product shipped.
  • Obtain samples for quality control as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Must be able to perform minor maintenance tasks on load-out mobile and mechanical equipment
  • Assist fire deck crew as necessary.
  • Keep rail and truck scales clean.
