About The Position

POSITION INFORMATION Boyd Corporation is seeking to add a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Material Handler . Working at Boyd isn’t your usual manufacturing experience. This role is designed for someone who prefers a n intellectual challenge above and beyond the day -to-day physical tasks. This is a full-time position on 2 nd shift . Th e position include s , Competitive Benefits Package Weekly Attendance Bonus In a nutshell , our Material Handlers are responsible for moving product and material to and from the production line s , as well as accurately storing product in the warehouse . Our products are packaged on skids that may be longer than most and in tight quarters, so the ideal candidate will have both swing mast and traditional forklift experience.

Requirements

Prior forklift experience .
Strong communication and documentation skills - written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift, which may include: bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate s a forklift in a safe manner around people, warehouse racking , and production equipment.
Completes p lanning requirements ahead of schedule.
Pul ls and assembl es skids and stages material to supply the production lines , as needed .
Suppl ies packaging supplies and/or raw materials to the end of the production lines.
Uses handheld scanner to properly add / remove product and/or move/consume raw material to ensure company systems are accurate .
Uses small hand tools to prepare skids for warehouse storage.
Transfers skids, 4FT - 20FT long, and places in appropriate location without damaging skid, product, or racking.
Weighs product between production orders , as needed .
Move s peripheral production equipment safely and as directed by team members and supervisor .
Other duties, as assigned.
