About The Position

ROLE AND ACTIVITY Rotate to work stations and handle all materials (including dry blending, receiving tankers, washing tanks, straining, yogurt operation tasks involving dry ingredients, fruits, flavors, rework, etc.) within the Mix Room to support Mix Room schedule. Ensure that all materials are pulled in FEFO. Verify ingredients needed are available for usage CIP/Sanitize and set-up mix tanks, tankers, lines & fruit–fill lines. Follow SOP’s & SSOP’s. Complete all operator level PM’s and cycle counts. Test butterfat and solids to insure they meet specifications. Notify QA immediately if tests are not within specification. Receive dairy, sugar, egg and chocolate coating tankers. Understand how the CIP system works and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner. Monitor equipment, i.e. HTST, homogenizer, computers, pumps, spray balls, air valves and ensure they are in good condition and that they meet all specifications. Accurately complete all paperwork to include HTST charts, date, cut in and out, efficiency chart, mix making data. Ensure all consumptions are correct and done in real time. Count raw material powders to ensure inventory accuracy. Keep entire area of mix processing clean, neat and organized. This includes all raw material storage areas for mix powders. Communicate any issues with possible solutions to your supervisor or manager as they arise. Demonstrate a sense of urgency to accomplish “Team” goals and tasks. Must ensure all paperwork is accurate before submitting. Perform Preventative Maintenance on pumps and valves in mix area. Keep pumps in working order and spares available. Participate in the Self-Inspection Audits and follow up with supervisor to ensure issues were resolved. Act with a sense of urgency to accomplish goals and tasks. Know and understand department metrics of quality, reliability and safety. You are responsible for your performance, efficiencies, waste, quality, safety, results. Lead Pre-Shift meetings as necessary and conduct shift hand off meeting Follow, monitor and understand all GMP/HACCP/QMS and product safety regulations. Keep waste to a minimum. Badge in and out on time. Be at your work area as scheduled and on time to pre and post shift meetings. Stay focused at all times! Make timely decisions. Find root cause and solution to problems. Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older 
  • Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules. 
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience 

Nice To Haves

  • One-year related experience (preferred).
