About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Material Handler. In this role, you will be part of one of the world's most essential industries, with endless opportunities for growth. The position involves operating powered equipment for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product, as well as checking inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are recorded, and products match customer requirements. This role is a combination of equipment operation (30-90% depending on production peak times) and performing material handling, case picking, and loading/unloading duties.

Requirements

  • Safe and efficient operation of a Pacer, Electric Pallet Jack and Reach Truck.
  • Stand-up Pacer material handling equipment operation.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
  • Six months warehouse experience (preferred).
  • Six months forklift operation experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered equipment for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product.
  • Check all inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free of damage and infestation.
  • Properly record product code dates and ensure products match customer requirements.
  • Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
  • Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock.
  • Ensure the exact number and type of products ordered by the customer are checked and loaded correctly.
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
  • Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
  • Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
  • Inspect all operated equipment daily.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
