About The Position

The Material Handler position has the capability of operating forklifts, cranes and other mechanical material handling equipment. Other areas could be crate/production assembly. This is a permanent position with potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. Base pay starts at $17.50 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential for the night shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
A minimum of (1) one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle, overhead crane, yard mule and side loaders
Ability to wear PPE equipment including fitted respirator.
Ability to work in a non-temperature- controlled environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
Good attitude and team oriented
Valid Driver's License
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads painted parts as needed.
Paints parts as needed.
Inspects painted parts to ensure quality standards are met.
May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader.
Provide customer responsive and efficient manufacturing support activities.
Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage.
Assist co-workers and customers.
Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Maintaining a steady flow of materials and resources to production workstations.
Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.
