The Warehouse Associate performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of products within the facility under general supervision. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year general warehouse or related experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and cherry picker according to OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to continually lift 35 pounds and up to 40 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to stand continuously and/or walk for 8-12 hours per day with intermittent breaks.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate basic English, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working as a member of a team, and operating independently
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment.
  • Ability to use standard typing keyboard and mouse and navigate through Windows based software.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and Cherry Picker Certification a plus.
  • Experience with JD Edwards MRP system and Warehouse Management System a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship sales orders within defined quality and productivity standards.
  • Operate forklift and cherry picker according to safety guidelines.
  • Label product in accordance with Company and Customer guidelines.
  • Follow housekeeping/5S and safety practices according to Company standards.
  • Receive and put-away product from suppliers within defined quality and productivity standards.
  • Use business supplied tools to participate in problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Understand department metrics and use to drive performance to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Perform essential job duties and responsibilities at the Distribution Center and comply with all IMI conduct rules to include safety, attendance, attitude, dress code, etc.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
