About The Position

Saab, Inc. in Cranston, RI is seeking a Material Handler to join the Manufacturing/Production team. This position will begin at our Cranston, RI facility but may be required to transfer to our Bristol, RI facility once it becomes operational in 2027.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Experience may include comprehensive knowledge of tools, software, and other related technologies.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical material handling tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MS Excel and Oracle (or a similar system).
Forklift experience and/or certification.

Responsibilities

Transport product to and from designated areas within the facility.
Ensure proper storage and retrieval of materials and finished goods.
Consolidate product within assigned locations.
Pack goods on pallets or in crates for shipment.
Stack goods in correct locations by following inventory control instructions.
Verify loads are properly secured prior to movement or shipment.
Perform daily material checks on the production floor.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Production Supervisor, or Manager.
