About The Position

Astronics AES is seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Redmond, WA. This is an onsite position on 2nd shift, working Monday - Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. in the facility. The Material Handler will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)
• Data base user interface and query software
• Electronic mail software
• Enterprise resource planning ERP software
• Inventory management software
• Spreadsheet software
• Label making software
• Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software
• Manufacturing environment
• Time Pressure
• Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items
• Must be a U.S. Person to be eligible for employment without requiring export licenses.
• Successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug test including cannabis screening

Responsibilities

• Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk.
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
• May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries
• Other duties as assigned
