About The Position

This role is responsible for keeping weld and assembly lines stocked with necessary items, unloading and loading trucks, and performing various material handling tasks within the plant. The position requires accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to operate a forklift efficiently.
• Self-motivated/self-starter.
• Computer knowledge or capability of learning to use computers and RF units.
• Ability to work with supervision from other departments on a daily basis.
• Must be able to physically perform essential functions of the job.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Specific vision requirements include depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Withdraw, transfer, and deliver parts as required throughout the plant, maintaining inventory in weld and assembly to prevent shortages.
• Move and locate parts accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Receive purchased and manufactured items.
• Recheck items after they have been filled to maintain stockroom accuracy.
• Report labor and job data accurately.
• Use daily fill tickets to assist with items needed in WIP.
• Maintain quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.
• Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.
