About The Position

With proper training, the Material Handler will be part of a team responsible for staging parts for assembly and moving material. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety consciousness and good housekeeping habits. Attention to detail is crucial to avoid scrap, and the employee must meet all quality standards and production goals. The position also involves performing any other tasks required for the success of the department. Requirements

  • Two to three years of work experience
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
  • Ability to distinguish colors and species
  • Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
  • Math and computer skills
  • Ability to read/write/communicate in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull carts
  • Hand dexterity and strength
  • Must report to work on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

  • One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast-paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
  • Work neatly (gluing and stapling doors) and meet quality standards
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
