About The Position

Utility Solutions is seeking a Material Handler to join their team in Hickory, NC. The Material Handler will work under the direction of the Operations Mgr. and will be responsible for assisting in the organization and monitoring of inventory, both physical inventory on the shop floor and associated inventory systems.

Basic understanding of conventional measuring tools and techniques
Must be able to multi-task
Excellent hand-eye coordination
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares work by gathering necessary materials and reviewing work orders
Pull, verify, and stage materials for production work orders
Review assembly carts daily; restock materials and update inventory systems as needed
Print labels and support production requirements
Move materials through all stages of production (receiving → WIP → finished goods)
Ensure accurate system transactions for all material movements
Performs part inspection according to approved SOPs
Uses counting scales for bulk receiving, re-labeling, and re-boxing
Pick and stage materials for shipping based on pick lists
Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories
Identify and report inventory discrepancies
Maintain accurate inventory through proper transactions and handling
Monitor consumable inventory levels weekly
Submit replenishment requests as needed
Operate material handling equipment safely
Maintain organization and cleanliness in all areas
Support additional operational needs as required
