SHIPPING - MATERIAL HANDLER - Warehouse 4
About The Position
The Material Handler will perform daily duties and tasks including the loading and un-loading of trucks, staging and pulling selected orders for daily shipments, and participating in general housekeeping as outlined by management. This role requires proven experience as a forklift operator. Responsibilities include unloading materials or production from incoming vehicles and relocating them to proper destinations, using an RF scanner for picking, relocating, and production purposes, locating, stacking, or palletizing finished goods for shipping, listing production activity, logging all completed tasks, and following all safety policies and procedures. The role also involves identifying workplace hazards and optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Forklift certification
- Excellent hand eye coordination
- Good physical condition
- Mathematical aptitude
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication
- Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, kneel, and reach
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
