Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the operation of a forklift (experience in a manufacturing environment)
  • Ability to read/write in English; capable of acting to written or verbal instruction
  • Basic understanding of math concept to complete reporting requirements
  • Must possess basic computer skills for use of systems: BPCS, TWI
  • Ability to operate powered material handling equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Inventory control preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the BPCS or any related inventory management system preferred
  • Knowledge of warehousing and warehouse procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times, safe work practice policies and procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Separate and palletize finished goods coming from the sealing station to the transfer trailer.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Load and unload raw materials from railcars and trailers.
  • Maintain daily forklift check list.
  • Supply production floor with materials and supplies to work stations.
  • Fill orders of end board and ring stock from in-process area.
  • Put away and retrieve material.
  • Pull orders from Nestyle blanks rack area.
  • Participate in group problem solving and special projects.
  • Work with Planning for daily work schedule.
  • Trains other employees in all areas of warehouse operation.
  • Understand internal and external customer needs.
  • Maintain department cleanliness to SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts.
  • Enters data into BPCS, Transition Works.
  • Provides relief for sealing station when needed.
  • Drives forklifts in the operation of their work.
  • Carries out environmental compliance tasks, as appropriate to the position.
