About The Position

U.S. Lumber, an SBP brand is currently looking for a 1st shift Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization. In this role you will focus on: Performing a number of different and important responsibilities in operation including material receiving & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities. Monday - Friday: 8a - 4:30pm EST. Hourly pay of $18/hour.

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
One to two years related experience
Experience using computer and handheld scanning gun
OSHA Forklift certification
Previous experience in material handling responsibilities in a production environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Responsibilities

Banding/Packaging Materials and supplies before being shipped to customer.
Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted
Stage completed and stretched wrapped products into shipping staging lanes by loads
Load trucks with finished door products per direction of Manager
Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
