About The Position

We are seeking a hardworking Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse, lumber yard, or manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling raw materials and finished products. This Material Handler role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to safely work with lumber and material-handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or Material Handler experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy lumber and materials throughout the shift.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools for product assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to read work orders and follow production schedules.
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate material-handling equipment to transport lumber and materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Load raw lumber onto production lines and remove finished products for staging and shipment.
• Pull and stage materials according to production schedules and work orders.
• Inspect lumber for damage, defects, and correct quantities before use or shipment.
• Organize lumber by species, dimensions, and grade while maintaining clean and safe storage areas.
• Keep production supplied with the materials needed to ensure continuous workflow.
• Assemble wooden furniture, trellis products, and other wood products using hand and power tools.
• Fabricate and assemble wood components while ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
• Meet quality standards and production goals while following all workplace safety procedures.
• Perform general warehouse and yard housekeeping duties.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures when handling long, heavy, or oversized lumber.
