About The Position

Somic America is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our Manufacturing team as a Material Handler. As a Material Handler, you'll play an important role in keeping our production operations running smoothly by ensuring materials and components are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable using basic math and reading work instructions
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Deliver raw materials and components to machining and assembly lines
- Move finished products throughout the facility and into shipping
- Load and unload pallets, crates, and containers
- Replenish production materials and component hoppers
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed)
- Verify materials for accuracy and quality
- Maintain organized work areas while supporting our 5S workplace standards
- Assist with recycling activities, including cardboard baling
- Follow standardized work procedures and all safety requirements
- Suggest ideas to improve efficiency and workplace safety
