The Material Handler will possess a thorough understanding of Utility Worker functions. Under the guidance of Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, the Material Handler will be responsible for moving and scanning items between locational bins using a scan gun to ensure 100% accuracy and accountability. Additionally, the Material Handler will assist with inventory management and other warehouse tasks as needed and will receive forklift training. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Forms and loads shipping cartons; manually stacks and moves cased products. Provides logistical support for all production and packaging activities. Stacks and pallets products for the finish-packaging line. Scans and moves products, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods using a scanner from one bin location to another. Assists in transporting items under the direction of the Associate Plant Manager, Production Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and Production Assistants. Understands and works safely with heavy equipment, including but not limited to various pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts. Conducts inventory under the direction of Production Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Inventory Helpers, or their representatives. Collaborates with other employees to ensure smooth production with no interruptions in the supply of needed items throughout the day. Cleans factory areas and provides janitorial and maintenance support as needed. Assists with off-season cleaning. Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. Regular attendance is required for the position.
