About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Material Handler for a Data Center in Sparks, NV. The data center is located on the north side of I-80, near the Patrick exit. Qualified candidates must be comfortable using computers, learning new software, and working on their feet in a physical warehouse environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse, material handling, or shipping/receiving environments
• Forklift operation experience required
• Strong computer skills, including basic typing and proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Ensure all packaging such as cardboard and wraps are disposed of according to company policy
• Assisting in shipping, receiving, storage and distribution activities for the Data Center to include unboxing and boxing/crating of data center equipment
• Assisting in inventory control, cycle count programs, de-trashing and breaking down materials & keeping the facility clean and organized
• Operate manual or electronic/motorized material handling equipment. This equipment can include pallet jacks and forklifts
• Frequent use of computers, scanners, and mobile devices used in the shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
