About The Position

The KS Large Bore Pistons Group is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of large-bore pistons. We offer customized solutions for pistons with diameters ranging from 130 to 640mm. Our pistons are made of aluminum, spheroidal graphite iron, or steel, as well as combinations of these materials for all customer applications. In addition to pistons for conventional fuels, we also provide product solutions for alternative fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, or methanol. We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Logistics and Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning machines, emptying containers, cleaning production floors, material handling for operations, and shipping/receiving material.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma, equivalent, or relevant experience
  • Basic math experience
  • Ability to perform the operation sequence of processes using standard instructions
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license by KSLP standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of production equipment and work areas, by removing chips from the machines, emptying chip hoppers, removing waste, cleaning spills per procedures, and scrubbing floors.
  • Manage waste removal and disposal in accordance with established safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between production areas and the warehouse using hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
  • Ensure continuous material supply to production machines to prevent interruptions in workflow.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Company specific safety standards and internal housekeeping rules at all times.
  • Collaborate with Shipping & Receiving Handler and Planning & Logistics Coordinator to monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and packaging materials.
  • Participate in cycle counts or in physical inventory audits.
  • Provide backup support for incoming and outgoing material handling operations, including unloading shipments, performing visual inspections, staging materials, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Participate in quality and environmental initiatives, including identifying nonconformities, reporting potential environmental risks, and attending required safety and environmental training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Maintain a valid forklift license.
