About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for using equipment to prepare product for shipment, documenting materials, locating and verifying supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires an understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• Have an understanding of warehouse management systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, and accurately.
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and analyze Information
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Mathematical skills to calculate material needs
• Must speak, read, and write English to satisfy job requirements.
• Forklift certification required

Responsibilities

• Uses a forklift and other powered or non-powered equipment to pull and ready product for shipment to customers or other company locations.
• Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Pulls and stages finished goods, and follows picking instructions for proper shipment preparation.
• Assures accuracy of product types and quantities for the customer's purchase order.
• Keeps inventory, warehouse/working areas, and machinery clean.
• Communicates product shortages and product damages to the Supervisor or Assistant.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
