Material Handler - 1st Shift
About The Position
NABRICO Marine Products is searching for a safety-oriented Material Handler in our Ashland City, TN manufacturing plant. NABRICO Marine Products is part of NABRICO's Inland Barge Group and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. NABRICO Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. NABRICO Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, NABRICO Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
Requirements
- Work requires an understanding of the organization of materials and the location of workstations.
- Must be experienced with operating a forklift.
- Expedite materials between warehouse and production departments.
- Safely store materials using a forklift and pick items for production or shipment.
- Ability to function as a team member; to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Responsibilities
- Expedites materials between warehouse and departments.
- Stores incoming materials using forklift.
- Picks materials from inventory for distribution and arranges for delivery to work stations.
