About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within the production facility. The role also supports the production team with operations tasks needed to meet manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate lift trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to follow established written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of material handling experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing management systems and ERP; SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of workflow in a production facility.
• Team player, eager to learn and win, and demonstrates leadership.
• Self-starter with a proactive management style.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• Disciplined and detail oriented.
• Emotionally intelligent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and transfer orders; move materials physically and in systems; perform cycle counts; and ship finished goods and materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Operate production equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in safety programs and proactively uphold the safety culture.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Perform required equipment inspections and sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse and work areas to support safe operation.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas depending on workload.
• Complete other tasks as needed or directed by management.
