About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials and parts between work areas in the plant and expediting the processing of goods according to schedules and priorities. The role also organizes work areas to streamline shipping processes. The position is in the Production / Shipping & Receiving department and reports to the Team Supervisor. MAKS Plastics, LLC supplies rotationally molded and thermoformed plastic components for the RV, marine, and custom industries. Requirements

Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
Ability to communicate with leads and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

Computer experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Retrieve molds from storage, take them to machines, and return unused molds to proper storage locations.
Remove scrap parts that have been dispositioned.
Make and assist with mold changes as required.
Locate and move required materials to specified production areas.
Move product from the Rotocast department to other departments as needed.
Follow safety procedures, including using personal protective equipment and safety glasses, wearing a seat belt, holding a valid Ameri-Kart tow motor license, honking the horn frequently, yielding to pedestrians, handling loads cautiously, and avoiding excessive speed.
Complete OSHA-required forklift refresher training and housekeeping.
Create a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
