About The Position

The Material Handler ensures that production lines are properly supplied with components and that all refuse is promptly removed and disposed of. This role involves transporting components and finished products, preparing packaging materials, and maintaining a clean work environment while adhering to company protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

Reading, oral and written English communication skills.
Ability to operate a pallet jack.
Organization skills.
Math aptitude.
Ability to perform with other workers as a team.
Prior work experience in a production/assembly environment required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time in excess of 2-3 hours at a time.
Ability to walk and use hands to handle or feel objects or controls.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to occasionally lift/and or move 40 pounds or more.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and, the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in an assembly setting.
Physical dexterity.

Responsibilities

Transport components or palletized finished products from the production floor to the staging areas in the warehouse using pallet jacks.
Palletize finished goods on the line.
Prepare and assemble required corrugate for packing.
Apply all necessary labels to product shippers and pallets.
Maintain all assembly line areas free of debris and refuse corrugate.
Follow all company protocols, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMP’s (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
