About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for safely and accurately moving, storing, receiving, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This position supports production by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are available when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with inventory management or warehouse systems.
Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Ability to accurately count inventory and complete computer-based system entries.
Ability to learn and identify parts, materials, and equipment.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to follow work orders, safety instructions, and established procedures.
Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with ERP systems is a strong advantage.
Advanced knowledge of inventory control and cycle-counting processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive, identify, store, issue, and distribute materials and equipment.
Accurately count inventory and complete computer system entries and documentation.
Tag, prepare, and route shipments using designated carriers.
Pull and stage parts for work orders and production needs.
Perform cycle counts and replenish stock.
Store materials and finished goods in designated locations.
Safely operate a forklift after completing required certification or training.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and team members.
Maintain dependable attendance to support production schedules.
