About The Position

The Material Handler/Receiver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the plant, including tasks associated with inventory control for unloading, initial inspection, receiving, put away, movement, loading, and shipping.

Requirements

Accuracy in inventory management
Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and other team members
Ability to perform basic calculations
Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience using an ERP or MRP system is preferred

Responsibilities

Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Demonstrating daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance.

Helping in the relief of breaks as needed
Maintaining records and documentation
Safe Operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Receiving and inspecting materials
Loading and unloading at incoming and outbound docks
Put away and retrieval of material
Delivery of raw materials to production
Performing inventory counts as needed
Maintaining accurate documentation
Ensuring all information is keyed into the software system
Collecting information for damaged claims and communicating those damages per process
Other projects and tasks, as assigned.
