Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy (up 50 lbs.) and/or awkward items.
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for the full shift and have full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting) required for the job.
  • Work with your hands.
  • Reach in all directions and in potentially awkward positions.
  • Read fine print with or without the use of corrective lenses.
  • Work with odors (solder, paint, solvent, various manufacturing odors).
  • Maintain steady eye-hand coordination.
  • Must have ability to drive Telehandler when back up is needed.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to organize work and prioritize when required.
  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer post high school training.
  • Forklift driving experience preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Move material as needed by driving route truck.
  • Put material away in designated inventory locations using hierarchy and FIFO.
  • Must learn and be able to train employees in all Inventory tasks including: Work Order and pulling, Data Entry, Bulk Staging, and other tasks and procedures.
  • Kit materials and gather documentation needed for production.
  • Perform physical cycle counts and material audits as assigned.
  • Transport, unload, and store inventory parts.
  • Receive and unload shipments from vendors.
  • Prepare and deliver material to production.
  • Complete inventory transactions accurately as needed.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned by the Inventory supervisor and crew leader.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record and work additional hours when workload justifies.
  • Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer and department expectations.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Safely and responsibly use tools and safe lifting practices.
  • Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner including repetitive tasks. Quickly learn new tasks and accurately perform these tasks as assigned.
  • Work effectively as a team member; help when and where needed, make suggestions for process and product improvement, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to work in all other areas of the factory including Inventory as well as manufacturing.
