About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for various warehouse duties including picking, packing, and shipping orders, processing incoming freight, and maintaining a clean work area. This role involves regular use of RF scanners, meeting performance targets, and contributing to overall team objectives. The position also requires maintaining warehouse cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with inbound and outbound logistics. Key tasks include verifying and unloading shipments, receiving against purchase orders, performing sortation, preparing put-aways, verifying inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and conducting cycle counts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use and familiarity with different modes of shipping

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders assigned
  • Pack orders in a manner which ensures safe transportation within the courier system
  • Assist in maintaining a clean work area when required.
  • Process incoming freight and put away parts in correct bin locations as labeled and verifying parts are the same.
  • Regular use of RF scanners during shift
  • Ship orders as per desired method of shipping.
  • Meet and exceed performance targets consistently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of warehouse.
  • Notify inside administration staff of any changes required on customers packing slip.
  • Report non-conforming products to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide excellent customer service by meeting and exceeding the customers’ needs and expectations, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Contribute to team spirit by assisting fellow employees with other tasks related to overall company objectives.
  • Perform other duties related to other company business, when required.
  • Checking shipment appointments for both inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Verifying and unloading shipments from various vendors.
  • Receiving shipments against different purchase orders , performing sortation and preparing the put-aways.
  • Verifying the accurate quantity and quality of inventory.
  • Resolving discrepancies, such as shortages or incorrect parts, and creating NCFs as required.
  • Performing cycle counts, as the team is fully trained in this process.
