About The Position

Golden Artist Colors is seeking a Material Handler for their 1st shift. This position is responsible for receiving and delivering incoming materials, picking and delivering WIP and component materials, and accurately tracking inventory. The role also involves preparing and inspecting outbound shipments and requires certification to operate various types of forklifts. Attention to detail is crucial for this role.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent with additional training in computer applications
1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment
Fork lift, electric pallet jack, and order picker certification
Valid Driver’s License
Attend and pass driver safety course.
Ability to safely operate company delivery trucks.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage priorities.
Attention to detail – accuracy is very important
Ability to recognize and avoid slip/trip hazards
Requires a physical assessment, respirator fit and background check

Responsibilities

Receive and deliver incoming materials to appropriate locations.
Pick and deliver WIP and component materials to filling area and stock WIP from Paint Making.
Accurately count inventory, perform inventory tracking, and utilize computer skills to enter information about materials and products transactions in the ERP system.
Prepare and inspect outbound carts of products being transferred to GAC Distribution Center and ensure manifest are complete and accurate.
Prepare and inspect all outbound shipments to customers.
Requires certification to operate multiple types of forklifts including counterbalance forklifts, sit down forklifts, stand up forklifts, cherry-pickers, and clamp and reach forklifts.
Occasional use of the box truck.
