About The Position

As a Material Handler (2nd Shift) with Resideo, you will utilize your logistics expertise and be part of handling a variety of logistics issues in a manufacturing environment. You will ship and receive incoming stock, move stock within factory, inventory stock upon request, maintain an orderly storage area, and load and unload incoming and outgoing material and equipment using power operated material handling equipment. Follow Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI) standards. Assist to drive a continuous improvement culture on the logistics process. Assist to build a Customer Satisfaction and Service culture.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of forklift experience
  • Ability to be on foot or standing continuously for 8 hours
  • frequently lifting 35 pounds
  • Be able to understand part identification and notify group leader of issues and errors.
  • This includes counting parts and following procedures.
  • Communicate equipment issues and supply shortages to Group Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Process shipments to customers within scheduled timeline.
  • Loads and unloads items such as machinery, equipment and raw materials from trailers and flatbeds using wire slings to bind loads while hoisting and moving with power operated material handling equipment.
  • Receives and stores incoming materials.
  • Moves incoming materials and stock from receiving to storage area.
  • Fills orders for raw stock and miscellaneous items.
  • Inventories materials upon request.
  • Create and support a safe working environment following procedures and standards set by company.
  • Lugs Die’s and Molds in and out of Punch Press and Molding machines.
  • Operates metal Shear to cut material to width based on Method layouts/Prints.
  • Verifies all ops on travelers are completed and crossed off with PID of operator that performed task.
  • Uses part check program to verify the quality of product.
  • Uses sidewinder to move raw stock.
  • Keeps track of Die/Mold locations.
  • Moves Die’s/Molds in and out of the Tool Room to proper location.
  • Uses computer system to enter raw material into proper location.
  • Process mail and deliver to appropriate staff while maintaining secure practices as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Embrace and engage in the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) including activities, but not limited to Safety & Behavioral Observation Process (BOP), 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Tiered Accountability Process, Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Built In Quality (BIQ), Coaching, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Knowledge Sharing.
