About The Position

This position is responsible for stocking, pulling, stacking, and transporting parts as needed for assigned areas. The role involves using a handheld scanner, organizing inventory bins, and assisting with truck unloading. Responsibilities may include breaking down cardboard boxes, operating a baler, and moving products to work areas efficiently. The Material Handler may also be required to access computer systems for patterns and forms, learn to identify and measure different types of stock, and practice FIFO (first-in, first-out) stock rotation. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous material handling experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Good eyesight and ability to wear protective safety glasses.
  • Ability to operate baler, trash chute, pallet jacks, carts/buggies, etc.
  • Ability to walk and stand for 9-hour shift, on wooden/hard floors.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, twist, stoop, and carry supplies.
  • Ability to work independently, yet able to communicate and get along with others.

  • Helping unload trucks as needed.
  • Breaking down cardboard boxes and operating a baler.
  • Moving specific product to work areas in a timely manner.
  • Pulling up patterns and forms (computer use) based on assigned area.
  • Learning to identify and measure different types of stock.
  • Rotating stock using FIFO (first-in, first-out) as appropriate.
