About The Position

Safety-Kleen Buffalo, New York is seeking a Material Handler to join their safety-conscious team! You will be responsible for completing all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner. Work schedule during training is 8am - 4pm. Following training, work hours will be 2pm-10pm; must be available to work overtime as needed. Why work for Safety-Kleen? Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements
Good communication skills
Problem solving skills
Basic Math skills (needed to calculate volumes from Gauge readings for when loading and unloading tanks and trucks)
Ability to work with waste labels, manifests, and load sheets
Basic computer knowledge required
Must have active, valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

1st or 2nd City of Buffalo Boiler engineer license is helpful but not necessary.
Forklift experience (Not Required but preferred; can train)
Experience with tankers (oil) loading and unloading, also will be sampling and unloading railcars (preferred)

Responsibilities

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and acting in a safe manner always.
Unload and reload bulk oil trucks and rail cars. (ladder climbing required)
Prepare loads for shipment to refineries.
General housekeeping
Assist with inventory (Oil, totes, drums)
Calculate volumes from gauge readings when loading and unloading tanks and trucks
Daily operation of yard vehicle
