2nd Shift Material Handler - Pay Rate: $21.70/hour
About The Position
As a Material Handler, you’ll be part of our team located in East Longmeadow, MA. This role operates in a demanding, fast-paced environment where priorities change daily. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who can prioritize daily workload and tasks with limited supervision, and is able to troubleshoot issues as they arise. This position is physically demanding at times with some heavy lifting required. You will be responsible for the on-time delivery of material to production cells hourly and must follow standard work for proper on-time material flow throughout the process. You will also perform any required cycle counts and inventory audits in a timely manner, and must be willing to flex to other assigned team areas to help co-workers. Additionally, you will perform 5S duties required to keep the area(s) clean and in order, and perform other similar duties as directed within the scope of the Materials team.
Requirements
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required.
- Previous stock or inventory experience a plus
- Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus
- Ability to be flexible with hours based on demand.
Responsibilities
- Breaks down, sorts, and stores all material, both incoming and outgoing, in the supermarket.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.
- Operates tuggers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
- Responsible for on-time delivery of material to production cells hourly.
- Must follow standard work for proper on-time material flow throughout the process.
- Performs any required cycle counts and inventory audits in timely manner.
- Must be willing to flex to other assigned team areas to help co-workers.
- Perform 5 S duties required to keep the area(s) clean and in order.
- Perform other similar duties as directed within the scope of the Materials team.
