About The Position
This job is responsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks involved in the shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment. Novanta is a global team with over 26 offices located in The Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. We create for our global customers engineered components and sub-systems that deliver extreme precision and performance for a range of mission-critical applications—from minimally invasive surgery to robotics to 3D metal printing.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math ability.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Package product for shipment as required.
- Monitor and manage shipping supplies; prepare purchase requisitions to replenish supplies as needed.
- Perform data entry on computer.
- Monitor bin inventory levels in shipping areas and replenish as necessary.
- Operate from established procedures. Maintain an ongoing updated Log Book for BOMs an drawings.
- Job encounters regular and recurring work situations. Contacts are made on own initiative with other departments and/or carriers concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, or approval.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Contributes to team effort.
- Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
- Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.
